Seminole Men’s Golf Team Enters The Goetze Era

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State University men’s golf team
enters the Nicky Goetze era as it opens its fall season at the Cleveland
Golf/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate Sunday at the Osprey Point Golf Club.
The tournament includes 15 teams and is the first of four tournaments
during the fall season for the Seminoles.


Goetze was named the Seminoles’ head coach on Aug. 16. He was a
three-time All-American at Clemson from 1991-93. He was the head coach at
Mississippi State from 1998-2000. He led the Bulldogs to a 19th place
finish at the NCAA championship tournament during the spring of 2000.
