“We are looking forward to the start of practice and are excited
about the upcoming season,” said Florida State head coach Steve Robinson,
entering his third season at the helm of the Seminole program. “We have a
good group of returning players and I really think we will show some growth
this year.”

The Seminoles, who went 13-17 a year ago, return four starters and
six other letterwinners from last season’s club. Back for their senior
seasons are forward Ron Hale, a third team All-Atlantic Coast Conference
pick last year, forward Damous Anderson, center Justin Mott and forward
Oliver Simmons. Anderson, Hale, Mott and junior point guard Delvon
Arrington are Robinson’s returning starters.

The Florida State coaching staff will put its players through a
8:30 a.m. practice on Saturday morning in the Moore Athletic Center Gym.
The Seminoles will work out again at 2:30 p.m. in the Leon County Civic
Center. The afternoon practice at the Civic Center is open to the public.

Florida State will hold its annual Garnet and Gold Game on Tuesday,
October 26 at 8:00 p.m. in the Civic Center and open its exhibition
