Seminole Productions Receives Record-12 Aurora Awards

Seminole Productions recently claimed 12 awards, including two Best of Show Platinum Awards in the Aurora Awards international competition. The Aurora Awards is an international competition designed to recognize excellence in the film and video industries. It specifically targets programs and commercials that would not normally have the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video. Entries come from across the United States, and abroad, including Canada, Hong Kong, Denmark, Mexico and others.

Seminole Productions’ staff member Jim Garbarino as well as student assistants Nick Rivero, Tyler Ginter, Brant Wells and Brandon Goodman, all received awards in the competition. Previous winners of Aurora awards include Disney I.D.E.A.S, The History Channel, A&E Network and Fox Sports Net. The Aurora statue itself was commissioned specifically for the competition by a nationally-renowned sculptor. The statues are cast in the same foundry that creates the Emmy, Oscar and Clio statues.


Established in 1987, Seminole Productions handles virtually every video production need for Florida State Athletics and teaches advanced courses in video production and performance to FSU Communication students. Seminole Productions produces the Bobby Bowden TV Show, the Seminole Basketball Report, the Mike Martin Show, Seminole Sports Magazine and other contracted programming produced for Sun Sports and Fox Sports. Seminole Productions also produces all of the in-game entertainment needs for Seminole Vision, the in-game entertainment productions for FSU football, basketball and baseball.
