Seminole Productions claimed six 2004 Communicator Awards and also two honorable mentions for its work with Florida State Athletics. The Communicator Awards is an International Competition Honoring Excellence in Visual Communications and recognizes the work done in Broadcast and Cable programming, Television news, and Video and Multi-Media production.
Of the six awards won by Seminole Productions, three were Crystal Awards of Excellence. The Crystal Awards were given to the 2004 Bowden Show Open by Jim Garbarino, the 2004 Football Stadium Open also by Jim Garbarino, and the Lassiter-Ware Commercial for Host Communications by Jerry Tootle. Seminole Productions also took home three Awards of Distinction. Awards of Distinction were given to the 2004 Bobby Bowden Show by Jim Garbarino, the Mike Martin Show also by Jim Garbarino, and Florida’s Compliance Assistance Program by Jerry Tootle. Seminole Productions was also recognized with two honorable mentions, one for the Sunshine State Games open by Rob Levine, and another for the FSU Men’s Basketball Preview which was student produced by Erick Valdez and Sonia Juarez under the direction of D.D. Garbarino.
