Wow. It’s my senior year! It felt just like yesterday when I signed with FSU and when I met teammates and coaches who only after a couple months of knowing each other became family. I still remember the feelings and hardships I had to go through as a freshman. In just one snap of the fingers I had to all of the sudden become independent and learn all these different types of skills that weren’t important to me in my younger days, for instance, time management and leadership skills.

I remember looking up to all of the upperclassmen and remember them telling us “This may be our last time stepping out onto the field, so whatever you got just give us your all.” Each year, I began to understand what those words really meant more and more. But I’m definitely not trying to make this blog sentimental. =] Haha. After meeting all the rookies yesterday I see so much potential in all of them and I definitely see a GREAT year ahead of us. I’m so excited about this season and I can’t wait to get out the field with all the Baby Seminoles!

Hey Nole Fans!!

Well it’s that time of year again and we are back in Tallahassee starting our classes. BUT we are also ready to get rolling with ball. I am back for round TWO of my senior year due to a medical redshirt last year. I have been blessed to be able to spend another year with a great group of girls. I couldn’t be any more happy.

This week we had our first couple of meetings and it is great to be back in the swing of things. I’ve been able to talk to the newbies and they seem really excited to get rocking this year. They all seem like a wonderful group of girls and I’m glad I could spend my last season with them. Seeing the freshies come in makes me think back to my freshman year and how far I have come as a person, student, and athlete. It goes by SO fast and I can’t believe it will be coming to an end so soon. After last year’s injury, I was unsure of what was going to happen. Did I want to come back? Will I get the medical redshirt? Do I start the real world or come back for one more season? Was that how I wanted my Senior year to end? Every little thing was going through my mind during the summer leading up to the day I got the phone call from coach saying I got cleared.

That was a huge relief lifted off my shoulders. My teammates were there for me every step of the way, lifting me up since February until the day I got cleared. Their support made it so much easier for me to know it was right for me to come back. Our expectations are high this year but we KNOW they can be attainable. After talking with some teammates, we want that back to back ACC Championship. We will not settle with just getting to Regionals. We want more. We know we can get more. Like I said before, I am so excited to get this year underway. We hope to see many of you out at the games cheering us on to achieve our goals of another ACC Championship and more! GO NOLES!!
