Seminole Soccer Announces Time Changes For Six Games In 2002

July 4, 2002

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State athletic department announced six time changes for home games on the Seminoles’ 2002 women’s soccer schedule (2002 FSU Soccer Schedule). All Friday night games at the Seminole Soccer Complex will now start at 7:30 p.m. rather than 7:00 p.m. The time changes affect games with Oregon State, Missouri, Clemson, Florida, UCF and Wake Forest.

Florida State’s season-opener with Oregon State, part of the 2002 Nike/Florida State Soccer Tournament, will be the first regular season home game to start at 7:30 p.m. since the Seminoles faced Virginia in 2000 on a Saturday evening. It will also be the first 7:30 p.m. start for a Friday night home game since FSU faced Mercer during the 1999 season.

The Seminoles, who finished 2001 ranked as high as No. 11 in one poll, have won eight straight home games after finishing last season undefeated at the Seminole Soccer Complex. They will also be looking to extend their streak of 17 straight home wins versus non-conference opponents that dates back to August of 1999.
