Seminole Soccer Falls 3-2 To Australian National Team

May 8, 2004

Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra –
In game one of the three game series, the Seminole Soccer team fell to the Australian National Team 3-2. The Noles fell behind early and trailed at the half 2-0. At the 75 minute mark the Aussies scored again to lead 3-0 before the Noles got on the board. One minute later Julia Schnugg beat the keeper on assists from Sarah Rosseau and Camie Bybee to score the Noles first goal. Three minutes later Camie Bybee netted the second goal on an assist from Toby Ranck. The Noles kept the pressure on
until the final whistle but weren’t able to score the equalizer.

At my first opportunity to an internet cafe I’ll forward photos of today’s game, including some great shots of kangaroos who came out of the
woods to watch part of the game.

The team will depart AIS early tomorrow (Sunday) to drive back to Sydney for the flight to the Gold Coast for the next seven days. Our next game will be on Tuesday against Queensland and then again on Thursday game two
against the Australian National Team.
