For the second time in head coach Patrick Baker’s four-year tenure, the Florida State soccer team was the focus of a feature story on ESPN.com. The article, written by Joy Russo, was released Monday and appears on the front page of the college sports section on one of America’s most trafficked sports websites.

The article focuses on the turnaround of the FSU soccer program since Baker was hired in December of 1998. Russo questions the coach about building a soccer program in the shadow of one of the nation’s premiere football teams and how that affected the Seminoles rise to national prominence.

The Garnet and Gold are currently in Coral Gables, FL to face the University of Miami (3-1-0) this evening at 7:00 p.m. This will be the fifth meeting between the Hurricanes and Seminoles with the series currently tied 2-2. Florida State has won the last two match-ups 3-1. For more information on FSU soccer, please visit www.seminoles.com.
