Hey there Seminole softball fans!

It’s Briar and Kelly once again reporting to you from the lounge! This weekend was an exciting one and one that was an opportunity of a lifetime for many. We got the chance to play with the PROS! That’s right – we played against the National Pro Fastpitch team. The NPF team is composed of many well known players from all different pro teams. We played against players such as Daniel Lawrie, Lauren Lappin, and Carly Wynn!

We had never gotten the opportunity to play against Carly until this past weekend and she made it count. Of course she made an ESPN diving play and we were a little upset about that but it was all fun and games! Everyone had a great time playing against some stiff competition even though we lost 9-1. Morgan broke the no-hitter with a single up the middle. Robin Ahrberg went yard in the 7th inning with a huge homerun to put FSU on the scoreboard. Playing against the NPF team gave us a chance to show off our skills, and to learn from some of the best players in the country. This was also our first night game as we got to play under the lights. After the game we got to meet and greet some of the fans as they sat in the cold weather to help support us.

As the end of the fall season wraps up, we are playing our last Garnet and Gold scrimmage tomorrow! It will be the championship game as we take the field to try to take down the other team. This fall has been an exciting one and as we wrap up we know that we have much more ahead of us and we will be working hard over break and into the spring.

Thank you Seminole fans and GO NOLES!!!
