TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Returning home after going 2-3 at the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., lat week, the Florida State softball teams welcomes the Georgia Southern Eagles in a doubleheader on JoAnne Graf Field Wednesday, March 26. The Seminoles, now 25-12 this season, are on a four-game winning streak against GSU and they lead the all-time series 31-13.
Florida State enters Wednesday’s doubleheader after defeating Cal State Fullerton 4-1 on March 22 in California. The Seminoles other win at the three-day tournament was against No. 1 Arizona State (No. 2 this week) in a 3-2 upset on March 20. Senior pitcher Tiffany McDonald was credited with both wins and is now 10-3 with a 1.25 ERA, topping the pitching staff.
With a 14-7 home record this season, the Seminoles have been flawless against the Eagles at the Seminole Softball Complex since 1991 (18-0). Georgia Southern has a record of 20-17 coming into Tallahassee.
