Tallahassee, Fla. – As the volleyball season gets into conference play, Florida State hosts Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Miami on Friday, Sept. 14, in Tully Gym at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Select as well as internet radio by logging onto www.seminoles.com.
“The Scoop” On Miami:
On a four-match winning streak – swept all four 3-0
Only lost one match at home against Hofstra 2-3 (26-30, 30-24, 30-21, 27-30, 21-23)
Florida State has played two top-ten ranked teams so far this season, while Miami has yet to match-up with any ranked teams
The Hurricanes were 1-1 against the Seminoles last season – losing at home 3-2, winning in Tallahassee 3-2
Florida State leads the all-time series 14-12

This time last year…
On Sept. 19, 2006, Florida State took on Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., for the first conference match of the season. The Seminoles won 3-2 (27-30, 30-24, 22-30, 30-12, 15-12) after holding the Hurricanes to 12 points in games four and five.
The last meeting of 2006…
The last meeting between the Seminoles and Hurricanes last season was in Tallahassee on Oct. 17th when Miami came back from being down 2-0 to win the match 3-2 (30-27, 30-16, 22-30, 28-30, 9-15).
Just Can’t Compare…
Miami enters Friday’s game ranked No. 2 in the ACC with a 6-3 record (.667 pct) for the season. While Florida State has matched-up with two top-ten ranked teams already this season, the Hurricanes have yet to play any ranked teams. In the ACC, the Seminoles’ .216 team hitting percentage out-ranks Miami’s .179.
