Seminole Women’s Golf Team Opens Spring Season

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. –
Sophomore Caroline Westrup and junior Whitney Wright are tied for 40th place in the individual standings and the Florida State women’s golf team is in 15th place in the spring season opening Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club after the first round of the three round event.

Pepperdine, the No. 8 ranked team in the initial spring season poll by GolfWeek Magazine, leads the team standings after carding a first round score of 297. Jayvie Agojo leads the Waves and is in first place in the individual standings after carding a two-under par 69 in the first round. Agojo and Adriana Zwanck of Arizona, who shot a one-under par 70, were the only two golfers who shot under par on the 5,912 yard course.
