MACON, Ga. – The Florida State men’s golf team finished tied for sixth at the Brickyard Collegiate Championship with a three round 1-over 865 score. Freshman Jack Maguire led the Seminoles today and finished tied for 16th.
“Each of our players got exposed this weekend,” said head coach Trey Jones. “Our short games were not sharp and I blame that on our preparation. I feel like our freshman Jack and Josh will learn and turn their 70 and 72 into a 66 and 68 with experience. We have one week to prepare for a very good field and great golf course in Crooked Stick.”
The Seminoles posted a 1-under 281 today with Maguire shooting a team best 2-under 70 in the final round. He started and finished the day strong with birdies on both the first and last hole.
