TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) –
Florida State, which eared the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament for the school record third consecutive season, will face the winner of the Miami vs. Georgia Tech first round game in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 ACC Tournament at Phillips Arena in Atlanta on Friday at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Florida State finished in third place in the ACC standings with a 12-4 record in conference play. The Seminoles tied the school record for ACC wins in a single season with an 80-72 win over Clemson on Sunday at home at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
The Seminoles’ senior class, which has won a school record 91 games, will look to play in its second ACC Tournament championship game at the 59th edition of the nation’s greatest college basketball tournament which begins on Thursday at Noon.
