“You have to credit our seniors, Delvon Arrington, Monte Cummings and Antwuan Dixon. They all stepped up and made plays when we needed them. They are the ones who set the tone on what to do and how to get it done. That’s what they’ve done in the last few games since the end of December.”
Steve Robinson

Head Coach, Florida State University

SETTING THE SCENE
Florida State, which defeated No. 1 ranked and previously undefeated Duke Sunday night in Tallahassee, travels to Raleigh to play NC State.

SEMINOLES DEFEAT NO. 1 RANKED BLUE DEVILS
Senior guard Monte Cummings, who scored 16 second half points, scored the game-winning basket with seven seconds remaining to lift Florida State to a 77-76 victory over previously undefeated and No. 1 ranked Duke. It marked the first Seminole victory over Duke since Jan. 21, 1995 and the first victory over the Blue Devils for head coach Steve Robinson. The victory snapped a 13-game winning streak over the Seminoles by the Blue Devils and was the first victory in eight tries for Robinson against Mike Krzyzewski. Cummings led five Seminoles in double figures – Delvon Arrington (13 and 10 assists), Michael Joiner (12), Antwuan Dixon (11) and Anthony Richardson (11).

ARRINGTON BECOMES ALL-TIME ASSIST LEADER
Senior co-captain Delvon Arrington, who has double figure assists in four of the last five games, became Florida State’s all-time assist leader Sunday night against Duke. He was credited with 10 assists and enters Tuesday night’s game against NC State with 603 career assists. Otto Petty (1971-73) recorded 602 assists during his career and had held the school record for nearly 30 years.

ARRINGTON RANKS 17TH IN ACC HISTORY
Senior point guard Delvon Arrington, who ranks first in Florida State history with 603 career assists, enters Tuesday’s game ranked 17th in ACC history with 603 assists.
