Seminoles Finish Seventh In LSU Spring Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.– The FSU men’s golf team continued an impressive season by finishing seventh at the inaugural LSU Spring Invitational with a team total of 30-over par 894 including an impressive opening round 296 at the University Club.


Leading the Seminoles was Andy Lewis. The sophomore from Garland, Texas shot a 70 in the final round to end the afternoon two-under-par. Lewis closed out the Invitational in fourth-place, with a one-under-par 215. Junior Rick Westbrook was the ‘Noles next best competitor, finishing the Invitational with a six-over, 222, for an 18th-place finish. Mark Donaldson rounded out the Seminoles’ top-50 competitors, finishing in 27th with a nine-over 225. Donaldson’s best round was an even-par in the second round.
