Seminoles Go 2-4 at Speedline Invitational

TAMPA, FL – The Florida State softball team completed competition today in
the Speedline Invitational Tournament, hosted by the University of South
Florida. The Lady Seminoles won two and lost four in the tournament and
advanced to the first round of the playoffs.

In late action on Friday, the Lady Seminoles took a loss in the early game to
#5 Michigan 0-5 and lost the late game to Florida Atlantic 4-8. FSU recovered
well, winning their early game on Saturday against Georgia 4-0 and advanced to
the first round of single elimination playoffs. The Lady Seminoles faced South
Florida but lost to the Bulls 2-1.

FSU drops to 11-13-1 on the season. The softball team returns to action on
Wednesday, March 10th as they host the University of Miami-Ohio in a double-
header starting at 5:30pm.
