TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – In its second ACC trip this season, the Florida State softball team travels to College Park, Md., to take on the Maryland Terrapins on April 5-6. The Seminoles enter with a 30-13 overall record and are third in the conference with a record of 6-3, while the Terps sit at 25-9 and in eighth in the ACC with a 1-5 record.

Since joining the ACC in 1992, FSU dominates the all-time series with Maryland, 34-6, and are currently on a six-game winning streak against the Terps. The Seminoles have suffered only three losses in College Park.

Leading the FSU defense this weekend will be ACC Pitcher of the Week, Tiffany McDonald, whose 1.01 ERA leads the Seminole pitching staff and ranks third in the ACC. McDonald’s 138 strikeouts are 48 more than Maryland’s top pitcher, Sarah Dooley. FSU also leads in the individual runs and RBI categories against the Terrapins.

First pitch in the three-game series is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, and live stats through Game Tracker will be available on Seminoles.com.
