Seminoles Improve Team Standing At Furman Tournament

GREENVILLE, S.C — Florida State junior Alison Zimmer shot a
career-low 72 and the Seminole women’s golf team moved into 13th place
during the second round of the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman
University Golf Course Saturday. Zimmer improved on her first round score
by nine strokes and helped the team improve its standing by two places.

Zimmer led four Seminoles who shot sub-80 scores in today’s second
round. Senior Louise Wright and junior Kelley Henderson carded scores of
78 while freshman Alison Curdt totaled a 79. Florida State improved his
team stroke score by six strokes as they shot the ninth best team score of
the day.

The three-round event concludes Sunday with a shotgun start
beginning at 8 a.m.
