Seminoles Look To Turn Season Around Against USF Wednesday

The Florida State volleyball team (1-5) returns home to Lucy McDaniel Court Wednesday to face intrastate rival South Florida…The Bulls (0-6) are searching for their first win of the season this week…Last weekend, the Seminoles traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, to compete in the Varney’s Kansas State Invitational…The Tribe lost three straight matches with two of them coming against Top 25 teams…The Seminoles, who have been plagued with significant injuries, should have all 12 members back on the court against USF…At the K-State Invite, Andreza Santos was the lone Seminole named to the all-tournament team…Senior Kristen Rust is powering the offense with an impressive 3.22 kills per game and a .230 hitting percentage…Rust also leads the team in serving with 0.35 aces per game and she averages 1.87 digs per game…Court general Jessica Skower leads the squad in set assists with 8.90 per game…Skower also averages 1.20 digs and 0.70 blocks a game…Santos has the highest hitting percentage with a .389 mark and 0.62 kpg…Freshman Marrita Royster-Crockett paces the defense with 22 total blocks on the season…Sophomore libero Summer Weissing has a team-best average of 3.83 digs per contest…In the latest ACC rankings released, Skower was ranked seventh in digs per game…Weissing ranked ninth in digs…Florida State is hitting .184 and holding its opponents to a .215 mark.
