OPELIKA, Ala. –
Led by sophomore Caroline Larsson at two-under and senior Katie Quinney at even par, the Florida State women’s golf team is making an early move up the team standings at the NCAA Championship at Grand National Golf Course. The Seminoles began the day in a tie for 17th place and were in 13th at the turn after their first nine holes.


Larsson earned four birdies on her first nine holes and has been under par since her third hole. The sophomore from Sweden has improved steadily throughout the tournament. She finished the first round with a six-over par 78 and the second day with a four over par 76.


Quinney is also playing her best round of golf in Thursday’s third round. She earned one birdie, seven s and only one bogie on the first nine holes of the day.
