Florida State’s No. 1 ranked football team scored points off the
field as well in a new USA Today poll that shuffles the nation’s Top 25
according to the graduation rates of scholarship players from 1989-92.

FSU and Penn State were the only two members of the USA Today/ESPN
Top Five who were also ranked among the Top 10 in the “Graduation Rate
Poll.” The Seminoles were ranked sixth in the survey behind Notre Dame and
Penn State (tied for No. 1), Virginia (third), Nebraska (fourth) and USC
(fifth). Wisconsin, Miami, UCLA and Texas round out the Top 10 of the
re-shuffled rankings.
