    The Seminoles dropped their third straight game overall and fifth consecutive in ACC play on Sunday with a 78-45 defeat at Clemson. The 33-point margin was FSU’s second worst loss of the year and its 45 points were a season-low…Florida State hit a season-worst 30.4 percent from the field (17-of-56) against the Tigers. It marked the seventh time this year that the Seminoles have followed a 50.0 percent or better shooting game (.532 vs. Georgia Tech) with a sub 45.0 percent effort…Despite its five-game league losing streak, FSU is still tied for fourth in the ACC with Georgia Tech at 5-7. Florida State’s five straight losses in ACC play is tied for the longest skid in the program’s eight years in the conference…Terrell Baker was held to a season-low two points at Clemson on 1-of-9 shooting. He is averaging 17.1 points on 56.9 percent shooting in FSU’s 12 wins but just 11.8 points on 32.5 percent shooting in its 12 losses.


    The Blue Devils won their 20th straight game on Saturday with a 102-71 home victory over Wake Forest. Trajan Langdon paced six Duke players in double figures with 20 points…Langdon leads the Blue Devils in scoring at 17.7 points per game and is hitting an ACC best 44.9 percent from three-point range…The 102-point output against Wake was Duke’s second straight 100-point game and marked the eighth time this year that it has broken the century mark. The Blue Devils are averaging 94.0 points per game…Duke is three wins away from becoming the first team in ACC history to go 16-0 in conference play. Five teams went 14-0 in the ACC prior to the league expanding to nine schools in 1991-92.


    Wednesday’s game marks the 17th meeting between Florida State and Duke. The Blue Devils own a 14-2 advantage in the series, which dates back to Jan. 3, 1954…Duke won the first meeting of the season back on Jan. 16 in Durham by a score of 98-73 as Elton Brand scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds…The Blue Devils can capture ACC regular season honors outright with a win while FSU is in a battle for fourth place in the league…The Seminoles have lost eight straight against Duke and are 2-13 versus the Devils since joining the ACC in 1991-92. FSU is 2-5 against Duke in the Leon County Civic Center during that span.
