FSU hit .347 compared to only .106 for the Wolfpack.
The Seminoles–winners in five of the last seven matches–received nine kills on 12 attempts for an impressive .750 hitting percentage from senior middle Lauren Scott. Sophomore Makini Thompson contributed 10 kills and sophomore libero Summer Weissing totaled 10 digs. Senior Kristen Rust tallied seven kills and six digs.
NC State’s Stefani Eddins paced her team with nine kills.
In the first two games the Seminoles and Pack battled early but the Seminoles sealed the victories with scores of 30-27 and 30-24. Game 1 and 2 saw seven ties and three lead changes.
FSU never felt threatened in game three, leading by as much as 21-9 at one point before the closing out the game with a 30-19 win.
