TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s golf team competes at the two-day Crooked Stick Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday in Carmel, Ind., at the crooked Stick Golf Club.
The tournament, which is hosted by Indiana, will be played over two days, with 36 holes played on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. The teams have a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m. with Florida State teeing off from the first through fourth holes.
“It’s a big, modern golf course,” said head coach Trey Jones. “There’s not a lot of traditional looks to it. It’s a quick turnaround from last week but you have learn from what you did last week but you can’t dwell on it. We weren’t sharp last week but we learned from that and now it’s time to move on and go to Indiana.”
Playing for Florida State this weekend is sophomore Rowin Caron with freshmen Jack Maguire, Cristobal Del Solar, Anthony Alex and Josh Lee. Maguire currently leads the team with a 71.17 stroke average.
No. 31 Florida State is joined by No. 6 Georgia, No. 24 Arkansas, No. 46 Florida, No. 49 TCU, Indiana, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, IUPUI, Kansas, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue and Toledo.
