Seminoles Set For Home Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State women’s tennis team is set to host the Seminole Invitational at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center starting tomorrow with play continuing through Sunday.

The tournament will feature athletes from Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, South Florida and Troy, arranged in a flighted format with three singles brackets and two for doubles.
The event will start on Friday with two pairs of Seminoles in the garnet bracket.

Freshmen Mia Vriens and Leyla Erkan will dual against the pair from Georgia Tech in Jasmine Minor and Muriel Wacker and juniors Francesca Segarelli and Carolina De los Santos will face the team of Nelly Radeva and Megan Gornet of Vanderbilt.

Erkan will continue her day and play in the garnet bracket of singles at 12 p.m. against Fanny Fracassi of South Florida.

Play will begin with doubles on Friday at 9 a.m and 10 a.m., with singles following at 12 p.m. Doubles will wrap up on Saturday at 9 a.m. and singles matches will take place at 11 a.m. The tournament will conclude with championship and consolation singles matches at 9 a.m. Check back on Seminoles.com for results each day.
