ATHENS, Greece — (seminoles.com) –
The Florida State men’s basketball team began its first day of its once-in-a-lifetime trip to Greece with a tour of the world famous Acropolis – the ancient fortress high above the city of Athens which is considered to be one of the most significant architectural structures in the world.
The Seminoles departed Tallahassee on Thursday morning and arrived in Athens in the early morning hours of Friday. The Seminoles’ home base in Greece is in the heart of Athens with some of the world’s most fabulous museum, galleries, theaters and an endless amount of incredible restaurants just steps from the front of their incredible hotel.
After a restful night of well-deserved sleep, the Seminoles will suit up for the first day of practice at the Olympics Athletic Center of Athens – the stadium where the 2004 Olympic Games were held. Following practice the Seminoles will enjoy a delightful lunch and continue to enjoy the marvelous sites of one of the grandest countries in the entire world.
