TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The 39th ranked Seminoles take to the road this Saturday as they travel to Tampa to take on the Bulls of the University of South Florida. Florida State looks to improve upon their 7-2 record. South Florida is currently ranked 30th nationally and has a record of 6-2. Saturday’s match is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on the South Florida campus.
Two Seminoles enter the contest at South Florida with a national ranking. Senior Xavier Luscan is currently ranked 53rd nationally, while freshman Mat Cloer is ranked 123rd. Florida State will face three ranked players from South Florida, Martin Wetzel, Paco Antelo and Jorge Escallon.
Florida State leads the all-time series with the Bulls, 18-17. The Seminoles look to extend their all-time series lead with a win Saturday. The last Seminole win came during the 1994 season when they defeated South Florida by a score of 5-2.
The Seminoles will return to the Scott Speicher Tennis Center on the Florida State campus on Wednesday, March 6th, as they host the Penn State Nittany Lions. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
