TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The No. 2 Florida State men’s golf team plays in its third tournament of the fall at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational. The team tees off at 8:00 a.m. Sunday at the Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando.
Florida State’s line-up has finished in the top 15 of individual standings this year. At the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate junior Hank Lebioda finished tied for second while sophomore Anthony Alex finished tied for 15th. At the Fighting Illini/Olympia Fields Invitational, junior Rowin Caron finished tied for fourth while sophomores Josh Lee and Jack Maguire finished tied for sixth and 15th, respectively.
The Seminoles are off to their best start since the early 1980s with back-to-back second place finishes to start the year.
Joining Florida State is No. 1 Illinois, No. 4 Baylor, No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 12 Vanderbilt, No. 14 New Mexico, No. 17 California, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, GRU-Augusta, Indiana, North Florida, UCF, and UNLV.
