TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 20 Florida State softball team will close out its regular-season home schedule with a three-game series against No. 6 Georgia Tech Saturday and Sunday.
Seminole fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on FSU in a rematch of last year’s Atlantic Coast Conference championship game. This weekend will serve as a celebration of the Florida State seniors: Carly Wynn, Terese Gober, Tory Haddad, Monica Montez and Courtney Rosen.
In addition to senior-day festivities following the game on Sunday, there is still time to RSVP to a softball social that will be held following the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday.
The event is free to Dugout Club members and $5 for everyone else that wishes to attend. RSVP to Sarah Reed with the Seminole Boosters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
FSU enters the conference showdown after back-to-back wins over Virginia Tech and South Alabama. Against the Jaguars on Wednesday, Gober tossed the third no-hitter of her career and second of the season.
Wynn currently leads the ‘Noles with a .403 batting average.
The conference-leading Yellow Jackets head south to Tallahassee after losing to Georgia — a team FSU beat earlier this year — on Wednesday by a score of 6-3.
Georgia Tech is led by Jen Yee, who is batting .587.
Game times are 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday. Both Saturday games can be viewed online as part of Seminoles.com All-Access.
