Six More International Awards For Seminole Productions Staff

Jan. 13, 2006

Seminole Productions will need to make more room on its walls and the staff continues an almost unheard of string of national award recognitions for its work in visual communications by gathering another six awards in a recent competition. With these awards, Seminole Productions staff members have won a total of 34 National and International Awards for their work with FSU Athletics and Florida State Agencies over the past three years. The latest recognition comes from the Communicator Awards Competition, an International competition honoring excellence in visual communications.

The Communicator Awards specifically targets programs and commercials that would not normally have the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment, and corporate sponsored film and video.

Of the six Communicator Award winners, three were awards of excellence. They include The Bobby Bowden Show open by Jim Garbarino, the FSU Football / Miami Game video board open by Jeff Levine and student Phil Jackson and the FSU Football head shots conceived by multiple staff members. Seminole Productions was also honored with three awards of distinction. These include the Bobby Bowden Show produced by Jim Garbarino, the Environmental Results Program by Jerry Tootle, and the Women’s Basketball Open by student Phil Jackson.

Established in 1987, Seminole Productions handles virtually every video production need for Florida State Athletics. Under the direction of Mark Rodin and senior staff members Jim Garbarino, DD Garbarino, Jerry Tootle and Jim Shaw, Seminole Productions produces the Bobby Bowden Show, the Seminole Basketball Report with Leonard Hamilton and the Mike Martin Show, as well as Seminole Sports Magazine and Seminole Uprising. Seminole Production’s also produces all of the in-game entertainment needs for Seminole Vision, the big-screen video production for FSU football, basketball and soon baseball. That’s over 80 live-events every year to enhance the game day experience for Seminole fans. Seminole Productions also provides visual communications support for Government and other agencies throughout the state of Florida.
