Small Group Heads To Stanford

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
With just a week until the final home meet of the year the Seminoles will send a trio of athletes to Stanford this weekend to take part in the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.


Freshman David Forrester will open up competition for FSU as he will take part in the 1500m run scheduled for 7:14 p.m. PT. Forrester has posted a top time of 3:54.32 in the 1500m as he finished fifth in his heat at the ACC Championships.


A pair of Seminoles will take part in the men’s 5000m run on Saturday as well, with ACC top-12 finishers Mike Fout sporting the garnet and gold.
Leeder ran his best time of the season two weeks ago at the ACC Championships when he clocked a 14:30.13 for sixth place.


Fout was not far off his teammates’ time at ACCs with a 14:38.69 good for 11th place. Fout ran his best 5000m time of the year on the Stanford track at the end of March when he clocked a 14:35.81.


After wrapping up final exams this week the Seminoles will focus on the Seminole Twilight set to run Friday and Saturday, May 7-8 at the Mike Long Track Complex.
