REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2016):

Only appeared in two games in the 2016 season…through three innings pitched, he allowed just one run on four hits…recorded his first outing of the season on April 30 against Clemson where he surrendered three hits and one run after facing seven Tigers…his second appearance came on May 10 against Jacksonville where he pitched two scoreless innings to end FSU’s 6-2 loss…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll…ended his Florida State career with 19.1 innings thrown, an ERA of 3.72, and 16 strikeouts to his name.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2015):

Finished the season 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 10 relief appearances…struck out 16 batters in 16.1 innings, allowing seven earned runs while holding hitters to only a .203 batting average…did not allow a run in five innings against ACC opponents…made his FSU debut at Georgia (Feb. 21), allowing two earned runs while striking out two…picked up his only win of the season with a career-high 5.0 innings pitched against UCF (March 11), allowing a run on three hits while striking out a season-high six batters…did not allow an earned run over his final four appearances, all against ACC competition…after his opening appearance against the Bulldogs, worked his ERA down to 3.86 by season’s end…played summer ball with the Altamonte Springs Boom of the Florida Collegiate League.

BEFORE FSU:

Went 0-1 with a 0.73 ERA and nine saves in 35 innings in 2014…earned All-Suncoast Conference Second Team honors…named an All-Star twice in the Florida Collegiate League (2013, 2014)…attended Mississippi State for one season, making the Dean’s List both semesters.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Graduated from St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C….as a junior at St. John’s, went 4-1 with two saves in 50 innings of work…earned Washington Post All-Metropolitan Honorable Mention honors…as a senior, went 5-1 with two saves and 1.50 ERA in 39 innings…Washington Capital Athletic Conference Honorable Mention All-Conference final two years of high school…named a Perfect Game All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention honoree in 2011 and 2012…made the honor roll every year at St. John’s.

PERSONAL:

Son of Tom and Jami Deise…made the Dean’s List both semesters at Mississippi State…majoring in political science…born on February 1, 1994.
