Named a third team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association in 2015 after leading the team with 14 saves…made 30 relief appearances during his senior campaign posting a 3-0 record and a 1.80 ERA…recorded 46 strikeouts in 35.0 innings of work while holding opponents to a .189 batting average…became the first Seminole in school history to earn a save in four straight games (all in one week)…garnered ACC Pitcher of the Week honors for his four-save performance…his 14 saves were the second most recorded in the ACC and ranks as the fifth most in a single-season in the Florida State record books…his 15 career saves are tied for the eighth most all-time at FSU…opened the season not allowing a run in his first eight relief appearances – a span covering 7.0 innings…worked multiple innings five times including a season-high 4.0 shutout innings against Florida (4/14) in a 4-3 12-inning victory in Tallahassee…struck out a season-high four batters against Clemson (5/20) in the ACC Tournament…tallied multiple strikeouts in 14 relief appearances…finished the year working 8.1 scoreless innings, while allowing a run in just four of his 30 appearances on the year…was nearly unhittable down the stretch as his 8.1 scoreless innings over seven appearances all came during FSU’s postseason run which included an ACC championship and a berth in the Super Regionals…allowed just three hits and four walks as he recorded 11 strikeouts and held opponents to a .108 average…collected a win and two saves during the postseason…went on to earn All-ACC second team honors as a reliever and was named to the Stopper of the Year midseason watch list…in June, was selected in the 10th round by the Cleveland Indians in the 2015 MLB First Year Player Draft.
Made 24 appearances including four starts while finishing his junior season with a 2-1 record and a 2.62 ERA…collected 49 strikeouts in 48.0 innings pitched…threw at least one inning in 17 of his 24 appearances…struck out a season-high five batters in two scoreless relief innings at Jacksonville (2/18)…matched that feat on two other occasions with five strikeouts in a start against Stetson (4/22) and over 6.0 scoreless innings against North Carolina in the ACC Tournament…finished the year not allowing a run in his last 10.1 innings of work…first start of the season came against Florida (4/8) in Tallahassee as he allowed a run on two hits over 4.0 innings in suffering the loss…second start came a week later against Jacksonville (4/15), allowing a run in six innings…picked up his first win of the season against Stetson (4/22), going 6.0 innings without allowing a run while striking out five…preserved the shutout win of No. 1 Virginia 7-0 with 2.2 relief innings as he struck out three…was the first time the Cavaliers had been shutout since February 2012, a string of 156 games, the longest in the nation…relieved Luke Weaver at North Carolina (5/9), throwing the final two innings to lock up the shutout of the Tar Heels, the ‘Noles first against UNC since March 23, 2001…in four starts (22.0 innings), allowed two earned runs and struck out 18 (0.82 ERA)…in three appearances against UNC, including a start in the ACC Tournament, went 9.1 innings, allowing an earned run on six hits while striking out six (0.96 ERA)…against the Tar Heels in the ACC Tournament (5/21), did not allow a run over six innings while striking out five on only 71 pitches in notching his second win of the season and third of his career…had a string of 17.2 innings without allowing an earned run…worked 2.2 shutout innings pitched against Georgia Southern in NCAA Tournament (5/30)…matched career-highs with 6.0 innings pitched in three outings, his final three starts of the year…had at least four strikeouts in seven appearances, including all four starts.
Made 20 appearances, including three starts, in 2013…finished with a 1-0 record with one save and a 2.43 ERA…posted 33 strikeouts in 37.0 innings…allowed only one hit and struck out two over 2.0 innings in his FSU debut against Rhode Island (2/17)…made his first career start against Presbyterian (3/6) going 1.2 inning without earning a decision…earned his first career win against Stetson (3/20) and posted career-highs in innings pitched (6.0) and strikeouts (9)…registered four strikeouts in 3.0 scoreless innings in the second game of a doubleheader against Duke (4/13)…did not give up a run in any of his first nine relief appearances – a span that covered 13.1 innings…pitched 4.0 scoreless innings to finish the game against Clemson (5/18) to earn his first career save…limited opposing batters to a .140 average (6-for-43) with two outs…finished the season allowing only three walks over his final 18.1 innings pitched…played over the summer with the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Baseball League.
Went 6-4 on the mound with a 0.35 ERA in his first season at Indian River State College in 2012…worked 77.1 innings, allowing just three earned runs and six hits as he posted 71 strikeouts and 21 walks.
Earned first team All-State and first team All-County honors in 2009-11…chosen as the Connie Mack Pitcher of the Game during the 2011 Connie Mack World Series…posted an undefeated record on the mound as a senior in 2011 going 11-0.
