Member of the weekend rotation for all of 2013…made 16 starts and posted a 10-4 record with a 3.44 ERA…tossed 89.0 innings, allowing 34 earned runs and 30 walks while recording 77 strikeouts…joined Scott Sitz with 10 wins and became the first pair of Seminole pitchers to record 10 wins in the same season since 2008 (Matt Fairel and Ryan Strauss)…earned the win in his first four appearances as FSU defeated Rhode Island (2/15), USF (2/23), Villanova (3/1) and Boston College (3/8) by a combined score of 52-13…had a no-hitter broken up with one out in the eighth inning against Boston College (3/8) – one-hit the Eagles over 8.0 innings of work…tossed the only complete game for FSU in 2013 – and the first since 2011 – in a 2-0 loss at Virginia (4/20)…struck out seven in 8.0 innings of work against the Cavaliers as both runs he allowed were unearned…worked 5.0 innings or more in 13 starts…tied a career-high 8.0 innings three times – Boston College (3/8), at Virginia (4/20) and at NC State (5/12)…was the first Seminole pitcher to record double-digit strikeouts in 2013 with his 7.0 inning, 10 strikeout performance against Duke (4/13)…was the pitcher of record in the regional-clinching win over Troy in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…finished the season with 13 pick-offs – most in a single-season dating back to 1996…his 17 career pick-offs are the most by a Seminole also dating back to 1996…recorded a pick-off in 10 of 16 starts – including two each against Duke (4/13), Virginia (4/20) and UCF (5/4)…allowed an earned run or less in seven of his 16 starts including six of his last eight to close out the 2013 season…went three starts in which he did not issue a walk – Georgia Tech (3/22), Duke (4/13) and at NC State (5/17)…played over the summer with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League – went 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA in five starts.
Pitched in the weekend rotation the entire 2012 season combining with fellow freshman teammate Mike Compton for 20 of Florida State’s 50 wins…posted an 8-3 record with a 2.82 ERA in 19 starts in his first season…registered a team-best 99.0 innings and 83 strikeouts…allowed only 31 earned run and 29 walks while limiting the opposition to a .243 average…finished the season ranked in the ACC in games started (1st), wins (4th), innings pitched (4th), strikeouts (9th) and ERA (10th)…tied for the third most starts in the nation…earned the start against Hofstra (2/17) to begin the season becoming the first freshman in Seminole Baseball history to earn a start on opening day…served as the Friday night starter all season long…first career win came on opening day limiting the Pride to just one run on three hits in 5.0 innings…worked 5.0 innings or more in 14 starts…limited opponents to three hits or less in games he worked 5.0 or more innings six times…best outing of the season came against Samford (6/2) in the Tallahassee Regional posting career-highs for innings pitched (8.0) and strikeouts (10)…the only Seminole to record double-digit strikeouts in a game in 2012 – retired 23 of the last 24 batters that he faced including the last 15 in a row…did not issue a walk against Samford…was named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Tournament team for his outstanding performance…limited Stanford to just one run on six hits in 6.0 innings of work in game one of the Tallahassee Super Regional…made two starts at the College World Series both coming against Arizona…recorded 10 starts in which he issued one or no walks – did not allow a walk to Rhode Island (4/27), Samford (6/2) and Arizona (6/15)…had five starts in which he did not allow a run – Maine (3/2), Virginia Tech (3/30), at Georgia Tech (4/6), Maryland (5/5) and Samford (6/2) – went 4-0 in those five starts as he did not factor in the decision against the Yellow Jackets…Florida State was 14-5 in games that Leibrandt started.
Earned Baseball America High School third team All-America accolades in 2011, garnered ESPN Rise first team honors and was named the Braves 400 Club Player of the Year…helped lead Marist to back-to-back 4A Georgia state championships in 2010 and 2011…named team captain as a senior…posted a perfect 13-0 record as a senior with a 0.71 ERA in 79.0 innings pitched with 120 strikeouts and just 11 walks…went 8-2 on the mound with a 2.69 ERA following his junior season throwing 54 innings with 55 strikeouts and 17 walks…member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
