Finished his senior campaign with a .297 batting average in 54 games including 36 starts…started at four different position including 26 as the Seminole designated hitter, five in left field, four at shortstop and one at first base…scored 25 runs and had 25 RBI to go with 33 walks, good for 20th in the ACC…also ended the year with a .429 on-base percentage, eighth-best in the conference…in the season-opening series against Niagara (2/14-16), notched two hits and two of his three hit by pitch on the year…entered as a pinch hitter in two games against Maryland (3/7-8) collecting hits in both plate appearances while scoring the lone run in a 5-1 Seminole loss in game two…made the first of 26 starts as the designated hitter at UCF (3/12), tied his career-high with three runs and two walks, and set a career-high with three hits…finished 3-for-7 over three games at Clemson (3/21-22)…against Florida (3/25), went 1-for-3 with a single, walk, and stolen base…started all three games in left field at Boston College, going 4-for-12 with four RBI, two walks, and two runs scored…in the third game against Florida (4/8), had two of the Seminoles four hits…started at shortstop for the first time in his career for the injured Justin Gonzalez during a four-game stretch in the middle of the season…during that span in games against Florida Gulf Coast (4/1) and Notre Dame (4/4-6), finished 8-for-17 (.471) with nine RBI, four runs and four walks, while connecting on his first home run as a Seminole – for his efforts, was named the ACC Player of the Week for the first time in his career…in the opener against Notre Dame (4/4), had the walk-off single to lock up the 8-7, 12-inning victory…registered the go-ahead base hit in three of FSU’s four games that week…average rose to .325 in 29 ACC games…in the exhibition game against the New York Yankees (2/25), drove in all three Seminole runs on a bases-clearing double to left center…leaves Florida State hitting .298 over two seasons after transferring from the College of Central Florida…had 38 RBI and 43 runs scored, 11 doubles and one home run…departs with an on-base percentage of .430 over 99 games including 61 starts (five different positions).
Appeared in 45 games and made 25 starts – 19 at first base, three at second base and three more at third base…batted .299 and had 18 runs scored and 13 RBI on the season…drew two walks in his season debut against Rhode Island (2/17)…had a pinch-hit RBI single against Villanova (3/2)…finished the season batting .545 (6-for-11) as a pinch hitter…his six pinch hits were the most by a Seminole on the team…had seven multi-hit games on the season – including a stretch of three straight two-hit games against Virginia Tech (3/30-DH) and Florida Gulf Coast (4/2)…scored a career-high three runs against Florida Gulf Coast (4/2)…had a pinch-hit RBI double and scored the winning run as FSU came from behind for a 5-4 walk-off victory against UCF (5/5)…entered the game in the sixth inning as a defensive replacement at Stetson (5/7) and finished 2-for-2 from the plate with a run scored… knocked in two runs on 2-for-5 hitting against Virginia in the ACC Tournament…posted two RBI by way of two bases-loaded hit-by-pitches against Indiana in the NCAA Super Regional…reached base 52% of the time when leading off an inning (13-for-25).
Put together an impressive freshman season at the College of Central Florida in the spring of 2010 hitting .291 with 12 doubles in 46 games…played in 54 games in 2011 posting a .328 batting average with 27 RBI, 15 stolen bases and a .919 fielding percentage…represented the College of Central Florida in the FCCAA All-Star game where he notched a double and two singles…earned post season first team All-Mid-Florida Conference honors in 2011…was also named College of Central Florida’s Baseball Player of the Year that same season.
Four-year baseball player at Alonso High School…batted .444 with two home runs, nine doubles and 28 RBI in his final year…was named to the Hillsborough County’s All-Western Conference American Division second team (2009)…participated in the Hillsborough County All-Star game (2009)…named class 4A Florida All-State Prep Baseball honorable mention (2009).
