Helped lead Florida State to their second straight NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship…recorded a 22-8 record…25 of her 30 games were played at the No. 5 position… went 18-7 at the No. 5 position and 4-1 at the No. 4 position… teamed up with Eva Torruella for 19 matches finished the season with a 15-4 record as a duo…with Torruella the pair beat 11 ranked teams including UCLA (April 1), Pepperdine (April 14), FIU (March 31, April 15, April 22, April 23) and FAU (April 7, April 22)…also played with Sierra Sanchez and went 2-1 at the No. 4 position including two wins over ranked opponents, Stetson (March 4), and Long beach State (March 11)…Luke defeated 15 ranked opponents during her redshirt junior campaign… was an important part of Florida State’s postseason run as she went 6-2 in the postseason including a 5-1 record during the CCSA Tournament…recorded one of three points in the CCSA finals against FIU.
Led FSU to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship and a national runner-up finish in Gulf Shores, Ala. … posted an overall and dual-match record of 17-7 in 2016 playing at the No. 4 and 5 positions … partnered with four different Seminoles on the year going 13-6 with Nikki Esposito, 2-1 with Katherine Plessy and 1-0 with both Blyss Harkness and Kayla Joyce … opened the season playing with Plessy earning two wins against South Carolina and Arizona State (March 4) and a win with Harkness against New Mexico – all three matches coming at the fifth position … 10 of the 13 victories with Esposito resulted in straight set victories, while 18 of their 19 matches came at the No. 5 position (12-6) … went 7-6 against ranked foes and 3-1 in three-set matches with Esposito … finished the CCSA Tournament with a 4-1 record securing the match clinching victory in the championship final against Georgia State’s (April 24) Alexis Townsend/Chloe Cook in three sets … went 1-2 with Esposito at the NCAA Championships at the No. 5 spot … opened with a thrilling, three-set victory to clinch the team win over Stetson … dropped back-to-back straight set matches to Hawaii and Southern Cal … missed the final two matches of the NCAA Championship due to injury.

Gradually improved and gained experience as the season went on … eventually played her way into the starting lineup and held a 15-5 record … mainly teamed up with partner Sierra Sanchez and played on Court 5 … won eleven consecutive matches with Sanchez and earned a starting spot to play in the AVCA National Championships … defeated Stetson’s fifth pair in the first round of the National Championships, 21-19, 16-21, 15-10 (May 2) … helped Florida State sweep No. 6 ranked FIU in the National Championship Quarterfinals by upending its fifth duo in straight sets, 26-24, 21-16 (May 2) … went 6-0 at the Florida State Pairs Challenge to capture the AAA bracket crown (April 18-19) … went 3-0 in the Fiesta on Siesta Key Team Cup Pool Play to reach the Gold bracket … eventually lost in the second round in the Gold bracket to Webber International’s No. 1 team (April 12) … partnered with Kayla Joyce for one match against No. 6 ranked UCLA’s fifth team and defeated them in straight sets, 21-18, 21-12 (March 14).
Earned a spot on the Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 List as a senior at Lake Brantley High…Florida Gatorade Player of the Year finalist in 2012 … Seminole County Player of the Year and Seminole County All-Conference First Team as a senior … All-Central Florida First Team performer (2012) who captained the varsity team from 2010-12 (three seasons)…part of the Lake Brantley Student Athlete Leadership Team from 2011-13.
