Second-year Seminole who came to FSU from Missouri prior to the start of the 2013-14 school year…enjoyed an outstanding debut cross country season with the ‘Noles as the lone NCAA Championship qualifier…earned All-ACC and All-South Region honors…may well end up taking a medical redshirt this season.

Cross Country

2013: Finished either first or second among Seminoles in all six meets he competed in…earned his first trip to the NCAA Championships as an individual after placing eighth at the NCAA South Region meet…joined fellow Seminole Matt Mizereck as the first athletes to earn both All-ACC and All-SEC honors in cross country, following his 18th-place finish at the ACC Championships…finished first overall to help the ‘Noles to the Wake Forest Invitational team title in his FSU debut. 2012: Helped Missouri to a third-place team finish in their first season of SEC competition with his 11th-place finish at the conference championship meet, covering the 8k course in 24:14.0…followed up by placing 30th at the highly-competitive NCAA Midwest Regional in a 10k course time of 31:08.7. 2011: competed in three meets for the Tigers as a freshman, including the Big 12 Championships, NCAA Pre-Nationals and Notre Dame Invitational.

Track & Field

2014: Outdoor – saw action in only four meets as he battled illness throughout the season…his top performance came at the Seminole Invitational, placing second in the 5000 (14:58.47)…was 24th at the ACC Championships in the 10,000. Indoor – competed in three meets, including the ACC Championship…turned in his top performances in the 5000 (14:18.45) at the Husky Classic, and the 3000 (8:16.54) at the Razorback Invitational. 2013: Outdoor – competed in five meets in the spring for the Tigers…highlights included a runner-up finish in the 5000m at the Iowa Invitational (PB, 14:25.39) and an eight-place finish in the 10,000m at the prestigious Drake Relays (PB, 30:09.15)…was 11th in 5000 at SEC Championships.

Personal

Starred at Red Wing (Minn.) High in cross country, twice earning all-state honors…was a two-time state qualifier in track, including a third-place finish in the 1600 (4:18.9) as a senior…prior to running track was a three-time all-conference performer in tennis…placed 12th at the 2012 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships in the 5000 during his freshman year at Missouri…also placed 10th at USA Junior Cross Country Championships in 2011…has three years of track & field eligibility remaining…outstanding student who is pursuing a degree in Biological Science…born Jan. 23, 1993.
