Coached by Richie Marsh at Thomasville, which reached the 2011 Georgia AA state playoffs…ranked as the No. 66 outside linebacker in the country by ESPN, and No. 47 by Rivals…earned a three-star rating by ESPN and Rivals…led his team in tackles as a senior with 64 and posted eight tackles for loss with three sacks and eight hurries while playing in all 10 games as an outside linebacker, defensive end and tight end…racked up 80 tackles with 12 tackles for loss as a junior…a 2011 Rising Seniors selection at the Georgia All-Star Football Game for juniors…named one of the top linebackers at the 2012 Prodigy Camp in Naples, Fla., the top 2013 linebacker at the 2011 Alabama MVP Camp, to the top underclassmen list at the 2011 Mobile Nike Sparq Combine and a top linebacker at the 2011 Atlanta MVP Camp…invited and participated at the Junior Rank Combine in California in Jan. 2013…served as Junior Class President in 2011-12 and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes…on the honor roll in two quarters as a junior as well as the first two as a senior…posted the third highest academic GPA on the football team…received four letters on the gridiron, playing linebacker, defensive end, tight end, safety and running back, as well as quarterback on the ninth-grade team…lettered two years as a forward with the basketball team (2009-11) and one year on the baseball squad as a pitcher and left fielder…began playing goalie for the soccer team, and competing in the 226-245 weight class in weightlifting in 2012-13.
