Senior Season (2016)

Played in 19 games with three starts as a senior as the Seminoles advanced to the Women’s College World Series for the ninth time in program history and won the ACC Championship for the third consecutive season…part of a senior class the never lost an ACC series, posting an 83-10 record against conference opponents and going unbeaten in all 33 series in ACC play since the start of 2013…won the ACC regular season title and reached the NCAA Super Regional round in all four seasons at FSU…posted a .375 batting average with a career-high four RBI…added five runs scored and an on-base percentage of .538…did not commit an error in 27 defensive chances at catcher…went 1-for-1 with a walk and a RBI in a win against Valparaiso on February 14…batted 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored against Bradley on February 26…pinch-ran and stole a base against UAB on February 28…had a base hit against UC Davis on March 5…walked and scored in the first game of a doubleheader at Boston College on April 16…narrowly missed a home run against Virginia Tech on April 24, settling for a sacrifice fly at the wall, also walked and scored in the game…drew a walk and scored against Florida A&M on May 5

Junior Season (2015)

Made 47 starts at catcher and played in 54 games overall…finished the season with six hits, 15 runs scored, one double, two RBI and 12 walks…committed just three errors in 358 defensive chances for a .992 fielding percentage…earned the team’s Seminole Warrior award for her work in the weight room, as well as the coaches’ Taylor Foster award for her attitude, work ethic and service to the community…had a base hit and a run scored versus No. 7 Michigan on February 14…drew a walk in her only plate appearance versus Cal on February 21…walked and scored a run against Boston College on March 1…had a base hit and an RBI against Pitt on March 28…drove in a run on a sacrifice fly against Florida A&M on April 1…scored a run in each game played at NC State (April 3 and April 4)…hit her first career extra-base hit with a leadoff double in the seventh inning at Georgia State on April 27 and finished with a career-high-tying two runs scored…scored a run at North Florida on May 3…posted a sac bunt and scored a run versus NC State on May 8 at the ACC Championships…hit a bunt single, walked and tied a career high with two runs scored against UCF on May 17 to help the Seminoles win the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…hit 10 sacrifice bunts to lead the team and finish second in the conference.

Sophomore Season (2014)

Played in 37 games with 10 starts at catcher…batted .136 with six runs scored, three hits and seven walks…committed just one error in 110 defensive chances for a fielding percentage of .991, second of the team for players with that many chances…drew two walks and scored a run at New Mexico State on February 7…posted a base hit, a walk and a run scored against Saint Mary’s on Feb. 9…went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Florida State’s 5-1 victory at No. 11 Alabama on March 2…had a base hit in her only at bat at Virginia on March 9…drew two walks and scored two runs – both career-highs – at Pitt on April 16.

Freshman Season (2013)

Provided some defensive stability behind the plate…grew more comfortable at the catching position…showed much improvement in catching All-American pitcher Lacey Waldrop and her offspeed stuff…won the team’s Coaches Award for representing Florida State so well on and off the field…also honored for her high character and personable nature…started 16 games at catcher…batted .140 with two RBIs and six total bases…had a base hit in her first appearance as a Seminole against Bethune-Cookman…posted her first multiple-hit game against Boston College in going 2-for-3 and knocked in her first RBI of the season…went 1-for-3 with an RBI in the second game of a doubleheader with Virginia…batted primarily in the eighth spot of the order (11 games).

High School

Talented player from Wellington High…two-year captain as a junior and senior…second team all-area player as a junior…first team all-area in her senior year…named MVP as a senior…defensive player of the year as a junior…three-time Honor Roll recipient…graduated in the top five percent of her class…member of DECA…club team was the Lady Gators Gold.

Personal

Born on July 30, 1994…majoring in Business Management and Marketing…daughter of Missy and Tommy Cheatham…her father played tennis at the University of North Texas…has one brother…favorite movie is Silver Linings Playbook…always shakes hands with Jessica Burroughs before the inning starts…favorite artist is Ed Sheeran…states the best part about being an ACC student-athlete is being a part of something bigger than yourself…looks forward to playing games in North Carolina because Taylor Foster’s family will be able to come watch her play…Taylor’s death in 2014 was a hardship that made her into a better person today…would love to backpack around Europe with friends…has learned that hard work pays off in the end from playing sports…played the trumpet in middle school…currently hooked on “Glee”…favorite accessory in her wardrobe are her shoes.
