Finished her impressive FSU career as an NCAA National Champion in 2018, and ended in the FSU Top 10 in four different categories –batting average (.361 – fourth), stolen bases (126 – fourth), runs (193 – fifth) and walks (123 – fifth)…those totals also ranked sixth in SB, eighth in walks and ninth in runs in ACC career history…in 2018, Klaevemann played in 54 games with 53 starts in the outfield and missed 16 full games to injury from March 2-25…ended with a .257 batting average (29-for-113) and 29 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, five RBI, 18 walks and 17 stolen bases…batted 3-for-4 with an RBI triple, two stolen bases and a run scored against NFCA All-American Randi Rupp on February 9…walked, stole a base and scored two runs against Portland State (February 10)…was 1-for-1 from the plate with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored versus Florida A&M on February 14…batted 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base at South Alabama on February 21…hit a single, scored a run and had an RBI in FSU’s 9-0 win over Northern Iowa (2/23)…walked, hit a single and stole two bases on the road at Georgia Tech on April 1…drew two walks and scored a run in game one of the doubleheader against Pitt (April 6)…hit a single and scored in FSU’s 4-1 win over No. 6 Florida on April 11…drew a walk, bunted a single, stole a base and scored a run on April 22 in a 8-0 win over Louisville…tied a season high with three hits, including a double, at NC State on May 4…hit a pair of singles and scored two runs on May 5 against the Wolfpack…had two hits, including a double, and scored a run against Notre Dame on May 11 in the ACC Tournament…scored a run against Jacksonville State on May 18 in the opening game of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…tied a season high with two walks and scored a run in game two of the NCAA Super Regional against No. 11 LSU on May 26…had hits in four consecutive games at the 2018 Women’s College World Series…recorded a double in each elimination game against No. 3 UCLA on June 3, adding an RBI and two runs scored in the final game to send the Seminoles to their first WCWS Championship Series…had a single and a stolen base in the first game of the final against No. 5 Washington on June 4…walked, stole two bases and scored a run on June 5 against the Huskies as FSU won the NCAA National Championship.
Continued to be the spark at the top of the lineup for the Seminoles, starting in all 58 games played on the season and leading the defense as the centerfielder…became just the second Florida State softball player to earn athletic and academic All-America honors in the same season as she earned NFCA Second Team All-American honors, as well as being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team…tallied 68 hits, with four doubles, two triples, eight RBI, 52 runs scored 25 walks and 36 stolen bases, as she recorded an on-base percentage of .492…led the team with 21 multi-hit games and posted a 10-game hitting streak…earned All-ACC First Team honors for the third season in a row as the Seminoles posted a 24-0 record in conference play to earn the ACC regular season crown for the fifth year in a row…moved into the FSU all-time top 10 in three different categories, and ranks fourth in FSU history with 109 stolen bases, seventh with 105 walks and 10th with 164 runs scored…batted 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in the season opener against Lipscomb on February 10…had a single, an RBI and scored a run against Furman (Feb 11)…walked and stole a base against FAMU on Feb 15…matched a season-high two hits in three of the four games of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge from February 17-19…stole a career-high four bases against Nebraska on Feb 19, batting 2-for-3 with two runs scored…had two hits and a stolen base against No. 18 Texas A&M (Feb 23)…matched a career high with three hits, including a double, with an RBI and two runs scored against Stanford on February 23…scored two runs and posted two hits against San Diego State…had a base hit, walked, stole a base and scored the game’s only run against No. 9 Arizona on Feb 25…went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored against No. 14 Michigan…batted 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base against Georgia Tech on March 3…stole one base in each game of the doubleheader against North Florida on March 8 and had an RBI single in game two…had two hits, walked and scored two runs in game one of the doubleheader at Virginia Tech (3/10)…set a season-high with three runs scored and added a triple in FSU’s 13-2 win over VT in game two…tied a career high with three hits on March 11 at Virginia Tech, hitting an RBI double and scoring a run…walked, doubled and scored two runs against Canisius (3/15)…went 2-for-3 from the plate with two stolen bases and two runs scored in the series opener against Notre Dame on March 17…walked twice and scored three runs in a 16-0 victory over Notre Dame (3/19)…set a career high with four hits at UVA on March 24, adding two stolen bases and two runs scored…batted 2-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored at Virginia (3/26)…matched a career high with four hits versus Pitt, scoring three runs and stealing a base on March 31…was perfect in four plate appearances against Pitt on April 1, batting 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored…walked twice, stole a base and scored two runs on April 8 at Syracuse…hit an RBI single, drew two walks and scored a pair of runs at Syracuse (4/9)…went 2-for-3 with a stolen base on the road at No. 3 Florida on April 12…hit a pair of singles and scored a run in FSU’s 3-1 win at South Carolina (4/15)…singled, stole a base and scored in her only plate appearance at Louisville on April 24…walked twice, stole a base and scored a run against Princeton in the opening game of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional on May 19…hit two singles and scored a run versus No. 25 Georgia to help clinch the regional championship on May 21.
Served as the catalyst for FSU’s offensive and defensive success as the leadoff hitter and centerfielder as the Seminoles won their third consecutive ACC Championship and advanced to the Women’s College World Series for the second time in three seasons…Played in 61 games with 61 starts and finished with a .351 batting average (60-for-171) with a double, two triples, 20 RBI and 69 runs scored…her 1.13 runs per game ranked No. 10 in the nation…also added 53 stolen bases and 51 walks, ranking sixth in the NCAA in stolen bases and No. 12 in walks…finished in the top 10 in FSU single season history in three different categories (runs – 4th, walks – 5th and stolen bases – 7th)…also led the team with a .509 on base percentage and five outfield assists…batted 3-for-4 with one RBI, two runs scored and a career high two stolen bases in a Seminole victory against St. John’s on Feb. 12…hit a triple, scored a run and tied a career high with two RBI in FSU victory against FIU on Feb. 12…tied a career high with three runs scored against Valparaiso on Feb. 14…drew two walks and scored a run against No. 2 Michigan (Feb. 19)…had a hit, a walk and a run scored against Florida A&M on Feb. 24…went 2-for-3 while scoring three runs in a win against Hofstra on Feb. 26…hit a perfect 2-for-2, brought in two runs and stole a base in a win against UAB on Feb. 27…went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base against UC Davis (Mar. 5)…batted a perfect 2-for-2 while getting walked twice and also recorded her career high with three stolen bases in a win against CSUN on March 6…had another perfect game at the plate going 2-for-2 with one RBI, one run scored and a stolen base against Tulsa (3/12)…recorded five hits in eight at- bats with seven stolen bases and seven runs in the series at UNC (Mar 25-26)…batted 3-for-3 with two runs scored in a loss on the road at No. 22 Notre Dame on April 3…walked four times and stole two bases in a win against NC State on April 10…recorded five total stolen bases in the series sweep over Boston College (April 16-17)…went 1-for-2 with two walks and scored two runs at No. 3 Auburn on April 20…walked all four times she went up to the plate and scored three runs in a 13-1 victory over Virginia Tech (April 24)…had two hits and two runs scored in a 7-1 win over North Carolina in the ACC semifinals on May 13…hit an RBI bunt single and added a walk and a stolen base in the NCAA Super Regionals against No. 25 Utah on May 28…was 2-for-4 with a career-high four RBI, as well as two stolen bases, in a 8-4 win over No. 14 UCLA at the Women’s College World Series on June 4…walked twice, stole a base and scored the only run in a 1-0 victory over No. 2 Michigan in the WCWS to advance to the semifinals for the third time in school history…hit an RBI triple, walked and scored a run in an 8-7 defeat in eight innings to No. 5 Auburn on June 5.
Excellent freshman season where she played in all 63 games with 60 starts in centerfield…the dynamic, lefty slapper was named to the All-ACC First Team and NFCA Southeast All-Region Third Team after leading Florida State with a.393 batting average (70-for-178), which is the seventh-highest season batting average in FSU history…added five doubles, three triples with 19 RBI, 43 runs scored and 20 stolen bases…also finished third on the team with 29 walks…posted a 26-game hitting streak from March 25 to May 17, ranking second-longest in FSU and ACC history as well as tied for No. 24 in NCAA history…stole two bases and walked twice at Florida A&M on February 10 to set career highs in both categories…set a career high with three hits as she went 3-for-4 at the plate against No. 7 Michigan (Feb. 14) and scored a run…went 1-for-3 with an RBI versus No. 13 Tennessee at the Mary Nutter Classic (Feb. 19)…batted 3-for-3 with an RBI and a career-high two runs at Florida Atlantic on March 10…went 2-for-2 with a walk in a 2-0 win against USC Upstate on March 12…recorded an outfield assist on March 14 against Notre Dame; also went 2-for-4 from the plate in the 7-3 win over the Irish…reached base in seven consecutive plate appearances from March 8-12…drew a career-high three walks against Troy on March 1…hit a single and a double in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, as the Seminoles rallied to defeat No. 25 Virginia Tech, 7-6 in eight innings, on March 21…batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and a career-high three runs scored against No. 9 Auburn on March 25…went 7-for-9 with an RBI and a run scored over the three-game series with Pitt on March 28-29…hit an RBI single against No. 3 Florida on April 8…walked three times at Louisville on April 11 to tie a career high…tied a career high with three hits at Louisville on April 12; also drove in a career-high two RBI…posted three hits, including two triples, scored three runs and drove in two RBI – tying career highs in all categories – against Virginia on April 19…had two game-saving outfield assists in game two of a doubleheader at Georgia Tech on April 26 – with FSU leading 3-2 in the sixth, she threw out a runner at the plate after a single to center. Then with the same score and one out in the seventh, she caught a fly ball and retired a runner at the plate to end the game…went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI at North Florida on May 3…hit a two-RBI triple against NC State in the ACC semifinal on May 8…posted two hits each in ACC tournament games against Boston College and Pitt…tied a career high with three hits against Dartmouth in the first game of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional (May 15)…hit an RBI single and added a stolen base in game three of the NCAA Knoxville Super Regional at No. 8 Tennessee on May 22…was perfect defensively, with zero errors in 65 defensive chances, including six outfield assists.
Outstanding multiple sport athlete for the Refugio Bobcats…also played for the Texas Bombers Gold travel team…named to the Caller Times All-South Texas Team (2012-14) and Victoria Advocate All-Area Team (2012-14)…earned All-State accolades by both the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas Sportswriters Association in 2013 and 2014…was the 2014 District 30-AA softball offensive player of the year…received Academic All-District honors all four years…RHS Softball MVP in 2011 and 2012…won Refugio’s Powerlifting award…2nd Team All-District in basketball in 2012 and 2013…2014 District 30-AA basketball MVP and Academic All-District…named to the Victoria Advocate All-Area basketball team in 2014…2014 RHS Athlete of the Year…qualified for the regional track meet from 2011-14 in multiple events…ran the 4x100m relay at the state meet in 2014…named to the distinguished honor roll all four years…member of the National Honor Society and was NHS President at Refugio…was also Senior Class and Student Council President…RHS Geometry Award in 2011 and World Geography Award in 2012…earned the Chemistry AP award…was named the Valedictorian of her high school class…selected Florida State among offers from many schools, including Oklahoma, Texas and LSU.
