Placed sixth in the 200 fly with a time of 1:45.69…was also 10th in the 100 fly after swimming a personal best at 47.13… placed ninth in the 100 fly (47.48) and ninth in the 200 fly (1:44.27) at the Georgia Invite..won the 100 fly and 200 fly against No. 7 Louisville…took first in the 200 fly in the win over Florida Southern…won the 100 and 200 fly in the victory over Minnesota…won the 200 fly at the All-Florida Invite with a time of 1:48.74 and was selected as the ACC Swimmer of the Week…was selected to be a team captain.
Had a breakthrough swim in the 200 fly at the ACC Championships when he posted his career best at 1:44.68 qualifying for the ‘A’ final…would go on to place eighth in the race…was near his personal best in the 100 fly with a 47.73 finishing 20th…also competed in the 50 free…won the 200 fly against Louisville with a time of 1:47.49…placed eighth in the 100 fly (48.23) and was third in the 200 fly (1:47.11) at the Georiga Tech Invite.
Placed 17th in the 100 fly with a career best time of 47.55 at the 2014 ACC Championships…was also 17th in the 200 fly with another top time of 1:46.21…also competed in the 500 free at his first career ACC’s….was given the Academic Award at the end of the year banquet.
Swam a career best time in the 200 fly at the Bulldog Invite at 1:47.94 in prelims before taking fourth at finals …touched in sixth with another career best in the 100 fly at 48.89…placed fourth in the 200 fly at the Georgia Tech Invite by posting a time of 1:50.28…swam in the B finals of the 100 fly and 500 free…was given the Academic Award at the end of the year awards banquet.
Placed third at the state meet in the 100 fly in 2011 while representing Oviedo High School as a captain…was voted as the team MVP three out of his four seasons…earned Water Polo Player of the Year in Seminole County in 2011… garnered All-America honorable mention and a first team All-Central Florida accolades during his junior year in water polo…is a junior national qualifier in the 100 and 200 fly while swimming for Blue Dolphins Aquatics.
Born September 27, 1993…son of Don and Sue Hensley…first name is Thaxter but goes by Cole…graduated from Oviedo High School where he was listed in the top 24 of his class…was a member of the National Honors Society, honor roll, Science Honors Society and was a scholastic All-American…was involved with the Italian club…mother Sue swam for Florida State…also played water polo…is a member of the Blue Dolphins Aquatics where he is coached by Charlie Rose…plans to major in Physics.
