Returns to the program for the indoor and outdoor seasons after serving an internship in the fall…hoping to maximize final year of eligibility on the track having been limited by injuries throughout his career.
Cross Country: Was on-point early in season, placing fifth on team and 16th overall at adidas XC Challenge (18:21.8, 6k) as Noles won…was fifth again for Noles at Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (25:46.1, 5 miles) and eighth overall at FSU Invitational…finished 40th at ACC Championships (24:20.2, 8k) as Noles’ fifth man again…hobbled home 112th at South Region. Indoor: Competed in only two meets…made season debut in the mile at the Bob Pollock Invitational…followed up by running 8:24.27, just off his PB, in the 3000m at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational…injury ended his season prematurely. Outdoor: Lined up just once during the season at the FSU Relays, where he competed in the 1500, but was forced to drop out of the 5000…injury ended his campaign.
Cross Country: Lined up five times with the top group and delivered three solid performances…highlight came with 16th-place performance at NCAA South Region, helping the Noles to the team title and an NCAA Championship berth…turned in scoring 52nd-place performance on home course at the ACC Championships…opened season by finishing 43rd at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown. Indoor: competed in three meets, including the ACC Championships, where he gutted out the 5000 on a sore leg that ultimately kept him sidelined outdoors…rans a 5k personal-best at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (14:28.40). Outdoor: missed the season due to injury.
Cross Country: Made two appearances in the fall, debuting at Notre Dame Invitational and following up a week later at the FSU Invitational…injury prevented him from finishing second race and ended his season. Indoor: Came back to compete in both the Razorback Invitational and David Hemery Valentine Invitational in the 3000…posted his season-best at Arkansas (8:30.82). Outdoor: Had his longest injury-free stretch of career to date, leading to five meet appearances…exclusively competed in the 1500…best finish was a runner-up at the Miami Alumni Invitational…fastest mark was established at the Tom Jones Memorial (3:50.82).
Cross Country: Made his collegiate debut at the Notre Dame Invitational, where he finished seventh among teammates…turned in his best performance at the FSU Invitational, finishing seventh overall with a season-best 8k time of 25:14.05…made his third and final start of the season at Indiana State/Pre-Nationals where he was the Seminoles’ No. 7 finisher. Indoor and Outdoor: Sat out both seasons as a redshirt.
Two-time Foot Locker Nationals finalist, finishing 26th in 2012 after a 33rd-place finish in 2011…capped an amazing senior year at Beecher High by winning the Illinois 1A state titles in cross country, followed by the outdoor track season 1600 and 3200 double…never finished lower than fourth place in four state cross country appearances…also won 1600 state title as a junior…came in with personal-best marks of 4:19.74 (1600), 9:07.39 (3200) and cross country bests of 14:22 (3-mile) and 15:04 (5000m)…competed in a number of major track meets nationally, including FSU Relays, where he established his 3200m PB in a runner-up finish…also traveled to Arcadia (Cal.) Invitational…majoring in ciminology…born Aug. 3, 1995.
