Promising Tallahassee product who saw his first action in the fall, competing in three cross country meets…enters track season still working his way back from serious illness which decked him for the entire 2015-16 school year…one of the state’s top cross country and track performers as a senior at Leon High…helped team to 3A state runner-up finishes in both cross country and track & field as a senior.
Put on his FSU kit for the first time in the fall following a long layoff that cost him valuable summer training…made his debut at the Covered Bridge Open where he was the ninth Nole across the line in 22:11.88 (6.4k)…also raced at the FSU Invitational (27:38.5, 8k) and the Crimson Classic.
Cross Country: Competed in two meets as an unattached runner and showed promise with his 18th-place finish at the FSU Invitational in his first 8k cross country race. Indoor & Outdoor: fell ill during the winter and was forced to pull out of classes after a lengthy hospital stay.
Capped his high school career by earning All-State honors in both cross country and track & field as a senior at Leon…finished fourth at the FHSAA 3A State Cross Country Championships at Apalachee Regional Park, helping the Lions to a runner-up finish…followed up with a third-place 3200m (9:26.90) finish at the 3A State Track & Field Championships as Leon also placed second…spent his first three high school seasons at Lincoln, where he qualified individually for the state cross country meet as a junior…his personal-best 3200 (9:20.38) came at the 2015 FSU Relays.
Another strong student-athlete signed by the Seminoles…was a three-year member of the National Honor Society…is the son of Eric and Carol Scott…plans to major in biology at FSU, where he will room with former high school rival and Tallahassee native Tyson Murray…began his prep career at Lincoln High…born July 18, 1996..
