Senior (Lanett, Ala.)

Senior and second-year Seminole is making his fourth career NCAA East Preliminary appearance in the 400-meter dash, where he is the No. 8 seed (45.56)…will also carry a baton on FSU’s 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams…has qualified for NCAA Championships indoors and outdoors every season of his career.

2014

Outdoor: Team co-captain and inspirational leader…helped FSU to ACC Outdoor Championship title, with wins in the high jump and 4×100; placing fourth in 200 and third on 4×400…season-best 45.56 400 came in win at Georgia Tech…ran a career-best 20.81 200 at Seminole Invitational…was second at Texas Relays in high jump with season-best (2.21m/7-3)…member of season-best 4×100 (40.19) and 4×400 (3:06.76) relays at ACC.

Indoor: Won NCAA Indoor title in high jump, breaking own school record with leap of 2.32m (7-7.25)…also member of seventh-place 4×400, pushing career first-team All-American honors to 11; sixth at FSU…qualified third overall for 400 finals with PR of 45.90…successfully defended his ACC Indoor high jump title with meet record 2.24m leap…placed fourth in 400 and third in 4×400, helping `Noles to team title.

2013

Outdoor: Earned first-team All-American honors for the Seminoles at the 2013 NCAA Championships in the high jump (fourth), 400 dash (fifth) and 4×100 relay (eighth)…helped USA to 4×400 gold medal in 4×400 at IAAF World Championships in Moscow…made team by placing fifth in 400 at USA Championships, where he was also 10th in high jump…won ACC Outdoor title in 400 and added 4×100 relay win, leading `Noles to team title.

Indoor: Anchored indoor school-record 4×400 (3:05.13) for third-place finish at NCAA Championships…set school indoor mark in high jump (2.26m/7-5) at Notre Dame…won ACC Championships high jump title.

Personal

Transferred from Mississippi State after earning five first-team All-American honors with the Bulldogs over two years (outdoor 4×400 – 2011, 2012; outdoor high jump – 2011; indoor 4×400 – 2012; indoor high jump – 2011)…third in high jump at the 2011 USA Indoor Championships…won seven individual state titles on the track Lanett High, where he also played football and baseball…won 2009 USA Track & Field Junior 400 title…2010 AAU Junior Olympic champ in the high jump , 200 and 400…born September 19, 1991.
