One of the finest sprint talents to ever lace up spikes at Florida State..a member of the Seminoles’ 2012 football signing class, he joined the track & field team at the conclusion of a redshirt season on the gridiron…won the ACC Indoor 60-meter dash title.
Indoor: Was unbeaten in three 60-meter dash finals during his freshman indoor season…debuted with a victory at the Razorback Invitational in 6.61 after posting the fastest preliminary round time (6.64)…returned to Fayetteville, Ark. two weeks later for the Tyson Invitational where he broke Maurice Mitchell’s two-year-old school record in the finals, winning in 6.54…ran 6.64 in the prelims and set a then-PB 6.57 as the top qualifier in the semifinals…followed up by winning the ACC Indoor Championships 60-meter crown in 6.57, leading a 1-2 finish with teammate Dentarius Locke (6.58) at his side…was the No. 1 seed entering the NCAA Indoor Championships back in Fayetteville, but was disqualified on a false start in the semifinals.
Outdoor: His lone 100-meter dash of the season produced a third-place finish at the Florida Relays in 10.20 (w)…competed on two 4×100 relay teams before leaving the program to turn professional.
Starred at Orlando’s Boone High where he won five individual 4A state titles – three in the 100 and two in the 200…has run wind-aided times of 10.05 and 10.06 in the 100 as a high schooler and a legal time of 21.02 in the 200…amassed an impressive list of victories at the national and international level in the 100, including the Texas Relays (2012), adidas Dream 100 (2011), Junior PanAm Games (2011) and USA Junior Championships (2011)…had a world-leading 6.08 55-meter dash win at the 2012 Jimmy Carnes Invitational…a consensus four-star football recruit…played in the Under Armour All-America game…two-time All-USA high school selection in track & field by USA Today…former Seminole sprinter Ricky Argro served as his coach through high school…born December 15, 1993.
