One of the most decorated men’s distance runners in Florida State history, both competitively and academically…the only two-time cross country All-American in program history (2010, 2011)…led 2010 team to an NCAA Cross Country Championships runner-up finish, tops in program history…earned first-team All-American honors on the track at 10,000 meters in 2013 after claiming second-team honors at the same distance in 2012…was a three-time NCAA Outdoor qualifier in the 10,000…earned All-ACC honors six times between cross country, indoor and outdoor competition…an exemplary student he was named 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year…selected to the All-ACC Academic team a total of 10 times over the course of his career…a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll all five years at Florida State…was a USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree twice in cross country and three times in track & field…was a candidate for Capital One CoSIDA/Academic All-American honors in 2012-13 after being selected to the Capital One Academic All-District team.

2013: Outdoor – Finished his Seminole career with a brilliant performance at the NCAA Championships, placing fourth in the 10,000 (29:42.23) by racing tactically in extreme heat…collected first-team All-American honors on the track for the first time in his career…earned his third consecutive trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a runner-up finish in the 10,000 at the NCAA East Preliminary…posted season-best 10,000 (28:52.77) at Stanford in the Payton Jordan Invitational…delivered the Seminoles the ACC Outdoor Championship team time with the clinching points by placing sixth in the 5000 (14:03.92). Indoor – competed in only two meets due to a nagging foot issue, Fout nearly stole the 5000-meter title at the ACC Indoor Championships, winning the slow heat in 14:02.26 to finish second overall…only other performance produced a career-best in the mile (4:05.47) at the Razorback Invitational.
2012: Outdoor – Earned second-team All-American honors after placing 15th (29:47.25) in the 10,000 at the NCAA Championships…qualified fourth overall out of the NCAA East Preliminary meet…narrowly missed PR in 5000 (13:47.76) at the Payton Jordan…turned in a tremendous double at the ACC Outdoor Championships, placing second in the 5000 (14:04.10) and third in the 10,000 (29:32.43)…posted season-best 10000 at the Stanford Invitational (28:57.89). Indoor – did not compete due to injury.
2011: Outdoor – Enjoyed his finest season on the track, earning a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000…sealed his trip to nationals with a fourth-place finish in the NCAA First Round at the University of Indiana, posting a 29:09.89…Fout’s performance came less than a month after he established a new collegiate best mark of 28:34.50 at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational on the Stanford campus…a month earlier at the Stanford Invitational, Fout secured a fifth-place finish in the 5,000 in a personal best 13:46.19… in a change of pace performance, he logged a personal best 1,500 time of 3:47.15 at the FSU Invitational. Indoor – posted a pair of scoring performances at the ACC Championships, placing third in the 5,000 (14:09.15) and sixth in the 3,000 (8:07.8)…earned indoor and outdoor All-ACC Academic honors and outdoor USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
2010: Outdoor – After a limited indoor campaign, Fout found some success outdoors, scoring an eighth-place finish at the ACC Championships in the 10,000 (30:14.02)…earlier in the year at Stanford’s Payton Jordan Invitational he shaved 20 seconds off his personal best in the 5,000 with a 14:01.25.
2009: Took a redshirt season as a freshman.
