PERFORMANCE RESULTS

Florida State school record-holder in the javelin is returning after missing all of the 2014 season following surgery…the redshirt sophomore is a native of Parow, South Africa… Moolman has significant international experience at the junior level…earned second-team All-American honors at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

2013

Made the most despite competing in a limited outdoor schedule due to injury…finished 11th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a top throw of 69.48 meters (227-11)…qualified with the No. 1 mark at the East Preliminary (75.17m/2467), smashing his own school record…was runner-up at the ACC Championships with a best throw of 70.61 meters, helping the Seminoles to the team title…wasted no time leaving his mark with the Seminoles, breaking the 20-year-old school record at the Texas Relays – his first meet – with a throw of 73.83 meters (242-3).

PERSONAL

One of three South Africans on the FSU roster, joining Stefan Brits and Helene Swanepoel…an impact recruit who wowed coaches with his bronze medal performance at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain with a career-best mark of 76.29m (250-3)…was runner-up at the 2011 World Youth Games in Lille, France where he unleashed a throw of 83.16m (272-10) with the 700g javelin…won the 2011 Commonwealth Games…born January 9, 1994.
