PERFORMANCE RESULTS

After qualifying for his fourth NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance in the long jump, was forced with withdraw from meet due to injury…owns No. 1 collegiate jump in 2016 outdoor season (8.22m/26-11.75)…with Olympic qualifying standard will represent South Africa at 2016 Games in Rio…three-time Capital One Academic All-American who is in FSU’s doctoral program for chemistry…second-year captain…the only FSU athlete competing while enrolled in a doctoral program (chemistry).

2016

ACC Outdoor champion in the long jump on his PB 8.22m first attempt…unbeaten in collegiate competition outdoors…third at South Africa Nationals in April…third at NCAA Indoor Championships (7.73m)…ACC Indoor runner-up with indoor PB (7.82m).

2015

Placed 12th at NCAA Outdoor Championships SB 7.66m…helped FSU to ACC Outdoor title with a third-place finish (7.51m)…returned from16-month injury hiatus outdoors at Tom Jones Memorial.

2014

Missed the outdoor season due to injury…limited by injury indoors, highlighted by fifth-place long jump finish at the ACC Championships, helping Noles to the team title.

2013

Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the long jump and 4×100 relay…earned All-American honors despite suffering a leg injury  running third leg of the 4×100 finals as the Noles placed eighth…finished 12th in the long jump to earn second-team All-American honors…won ACC Outdoor Championships long jump title with meet record and PB (8.05m); ran on the winning 4×100 relay as FSU claimed team title…first-team All-American honors, placing sixth at NCAA Indoor Championships (7.80m).

2012

Placed 20th at NCAA Outdoor Championships in the long jump…injuries limited him both outdoors and indoors…was silver medalist at ACC Indoor Championships (7.37m).

Personal

Recognized for his academic excellence multiple times by the ACC and the USTFCCCA…a two-time Golden Torch winner for boasting the men’s track & field team’s top GPA….Cape Town native has represented South Africa in four World Championship events…2009 World Juniors silver medalist in the long jump…born Jan. 19, 1992.
