Preparing to compete in cross country for the first time with the Seminoles…expected to be one of the top performers following a strong summer of training…was a late arrival to FSU in the fall of 2016 after representing her native Bulgaria in the marathon at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games…required to sit out the cross country season last fall…competed on the track both indoors and outdoors last year.

2016-17

Cross Country: Sat out as required by NCAA. Indoors: Saw action in four meets, including the ACC Championships…registered SBs of 5:00.23 (mile), 9:43.30 (3000) and 17:05.39 (5000)…top finish was 11th in the 5000 in her season-best at the ACC Championships. Outdoors: Competed in six meets while varying her competitive menu between the 1500 and 5000…registered her SB 5000 at the Seminole Twilight (16:42.46), where she finished third and earn a spot on the ACC Championships roster…top 1500 (4:36.70) came in the outdoor opener at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
